Horizontal Dual-Tube Thermal Expansion Coefficient Tester
Published: 3/14/2025
The DIL-SG series Horizontal Dual-Tube Thermal Expansion Coefficient Tester is a standard dual-tube dilatometer designed for expansion testing. It is mainly used for refractory materials such as ceramics, glass, graphite, polymers, and metal alloys, providing automated, easy-to-operate testing with data printing, archiving, and rich database features.
Product Description
The instrument uses computer technology and intelligent instrumentation (microcontroller) technology to monitor and control physical quantities such as displacement and temperature throughout the experiment, supporting offline operation and online automatic testing. It runs in a Chinese Windows environment with a user-friendly Chinese interface; offline status is detected by intelligent instruments with manual testing. The dual-tube structure uses the standard expansion method and is mainly used for refractory materials including ceramics, glass, graphite, polymers, and metal alloys. It features full automation, ease of testing and operation, data printing output, experimental data archiving, a rich database, and easy modification and retrieval. It provides modern testing methods for factories and research institutes to test the performance of ceramic and refractory material products and supports scientific research and teaching. Sample preparation methods comply with GB/T32158-2015 and GB/T3074.4 standards, and the appearance is horizontal. Main technical parameters of the Horizontal Dual-Tube Thermal Expansion Coefficient Tester include: high temperature options of 1000℃, 1400℃, and 1600℃; heating rate adjustable from 0.1 to 20 K/min with custom options; temperature rise speed and experimental process control parameters including PID and communication methods adjustable and lockable via intelligent instruments and modifiable via upper computer (PC). The expansion measurement range and error are ±2.5 mm ±0.1%. Temperature control accuracy is ±1℃ with temperature recording error ≤ ±0.5%. Sample size is length 50 mm (max) or 25 mm, diameter 6–10 mm (max). Displacement measurement resolution is 0.1 μm. Gas atmosphere and vacuum devices are optional (additional cost). The sample holder material is alumina. The instrument can test two samples simultaneously or use a comparative method to test standard and sample. It supports connection to a computer for fully automatic testing with accompanying automatic analysis software. The main configuration includes one test host, one set of test software, and one quartz/alumina standard sample. After-sales service includes a 12-month warranty from acceptance date with free on-site repair within the warranty period, except for consumables which have a 3-month warranty excluding faults caused by human factors or force majeure. Upon receiving repair notification, technicians arrive on-site within 48 hours, resolving minor issues within 2 hours and component damage within seven working days. Free on-site installation, debugging, and training are provided. Installation and maintenance instructions: The instrument should be installed on a vibration-free clean cement platform with a workbench height below 800 mm. Consider placement of argon cylinders and cooling water during use. After experiments, do not immediately open the furnace chamber to prevent damage from sudden cooling; only open when sample temperature is below 100℃. Handle samples gently to avoid damaging displacement rods or sensors. Replace sealing materials promptly if gas leakage is detected at furnace ends. Electrical control troubleshooting includes checking power indicators, fuses, thyristors, and circuit connections.
